Create a lounging area
Your venue has a great dance floor and an eating area, but guests don’t want to sit in those uncomfortable chairs all day or be forced to stand. Instead, create a special lounging area decked out with fluffy pillows, comfortable seating, pretty lighting, and classic board games. Your guests will appreciate the chance to escape the chaos.
Have a wedding hashtag
Unless you are opting for a technology-free wedding, creating a hashtag that can be used on social media will help you keep track of all the great photos your guests have captured. Keep it simple by utilizing puns and your last names. Once you’ve settled on one, be sure to tell your guests about it before and during the big day in some way or another, either through your invitation or signs on the reception tables.
Fun cocktail napkins
Instead of keeping your napkins plain, wine bottles, and centerpieces plain, consider printing funny facts or trivia about you and your significant other on them. Where did you two meet? How did he propose?
Have two dresses
Life’s too short to stick to only one dress on your special day. Make a statement at your reception by changing out of your long ceremony gown into a flirty white or cream cocktail dress that has plenty of personality. To avoid looking like you’re going to prom, keep it simple and classic with pretty lacing and stitching and understated accessories.
